Maybankard 2 Cards – 2 is all you need

Maybank has launched another round for American Express(Amex) card, bundled 2 cards together, get American Express and VISA/MASTER Card when you apply to Maybankard 2 Cards.

Maybankard 2 cards offers 5% of Cash Rebates while you swap Maybankard 2 Amex during weekend, and getting 5X rewards point for any purchase.

The main tagline of Maybankard 2 is “2 is all you need” which emphasize the benefits of Maybankard 2 cards can suit all of your daily purchases.

Benefits of Maybankard 2 Cards

  • The benefits of two cards, Maybankard 2 American Express® Card and Maybankard 2 Visa/MasterCard, in one sign up, one service tax, and one statement.
  • Enjoy a low Finance Charge of 8.88% p.a. on your outstanding retail balance, and save up to RM2300 a year¹. All you have to do is promptly settle your minimum payment of 5% or a minimum of RM25. (Based on RM3,000 monthly spend with minimum repayment of 12 months.)
  • 5x TreatsPoints for every Ringgit spent on Maybankard 2 American Express Card and 1x TreatsPoint on Maybankard 2  Mastercard in Malaysia or anywhere else in the world.
  • 5% Weekend cash back² when spend on Maybankard 2 American Express Card.
  • Enjoy lowest finance charge of 8.88%³ per annum on your outstanding retail balance. All you need to do is promptly settle minimum payment, 5% of the outstanding balance or a minimum of RM25. (Maybank reserves the right to revise the Finance Charge as and when it deems necessary, with 21 days prior notice.)
  • Lifetime Fee Waiver with complimentary supplementary cards.

Spend with Amex card during weekend to enjoy the 5% cash rebates & 5X treatpoints (equil. to 2.5% cash rebates).

Example:

Spend RM 400

  • Cash Rebates: 5% = RM 20
  • 5x TreatPoints = 400 x 5 = 2000 pts
    • 200 pts = RM 1
    • 2000 pts = RM 10
    • RM 10 / RM 400 = 0.025 x 100 = 2.5%
  • Total cash rebates you earn for RM 400 spending during weekend is RM 20 + RM 10 (redeem with pts).
  • RM 30 / RM 400 = 7.5% cash rebates in total

Cash rebates amount is credited into your account at the end of the billing month.

Minimum Requirement to apply Maybankard 2 Cards

  • Platinum: minimum annual income of RM 60, 000
  • Gold: minimum annual income of RM 30, 000
  • Principal cardholders: between 21 to 65 years old
  • Supp. cardholders: at least 18 years old
