Best 0% Balance Transfer Programme (updated July 2011)
0% Balance Transfer programme could save you from hell if you have credit card outstanding balance which you not able to settle in a short time of period. As in year 2011, some of the banks in Malaysia offer 0% balance transfer programme to credit card holder for transferring the credit card outstanding.
CIMB 0% Balance Transfer Programme
This is the latest BT programme offer by CIMB and Direct Access credit card which offer 0% interest charge if you transfer your outstanding for a period of up to 6 months. The promotion is valid until 31 December 2011.
The application is subject to a minimum of RM1,000 per application per financial institution (at least transfer RM1,000 from a bank outstanding) and the maximum is subject to your available credit limit of CIMB or DirectAccess cards.
There’s no interest will be charge on the approved outstanding balance and no processing fee but it shall impose a finance charge if you didn’t clear your outstanding of the 6-months installment amount.
** Please be aware that this programme is not valid for CIMB Islamic cardholders.

Public Bank (PB Balance Transfer XII) 6 monts installment
Public bank offer the same as CIMB for a 0% Balance Transfer programme with 6-months tenure. The features are:
- NO processing fee
- NO other banks’ statement (normally you will need to attach statement of your credit card statement when you submit your BT application)

Maybankard Balance Transfer Programme
Maybank offer 6 plans for this BT programme and the 0% interest is only valid for a 12-months tenure application, 6 months installment will incurs a charge of 0.5% per month (reduce balance rate), which is different with CIMB & Public Bank. All kinds of 6 BT plans are zero charge and totally free for processing fee.
